JULIE GOODYEAR – 80 YEARS
Julie Goodyear is an actress, best known for her portrayal of Bet Lynch in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. She made her debut as Bet in 1966, appearing in nine episodes before becoming a series regular from 1970 to 1995. In the National Television Awards, Julie received the Special Recognition Award for her outstanding role in the ITV series in the National Television Awards.
Her other projects included filming a pilot for Granada’s The Julie Goodyear Show. She appeared in the BBC television comedy series Revolver in 2001. Goodyear also won the reality show; I’m Famous and Frightened! In the 1996 New Year’s Honours, she was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire.
