A Russian long jumper, Darya Klishina, started her journey in sports by playing volleyball at the age of eight. After turning thirteen, she switched to long jump and began to train for it. In the 2017 World Championships, Klishina won a silver. Prior to this, she had also won a gold in the 2011 and 2013 European Indoor Championships.
