Rita got married to her manager, Leonard Gordon. Gordon was a cardiologist. They were in a happy marriage for 45 years until Leonard passed away on June 30, 2010, at the age of 90. The pair has a child together named Fernanda Gordan Fisher, along with two grandchildren.
