Joe Namath is an icon when it comes to American football players and quarterbacks. Namath played in the American Football League and National Football League for 13 seasons. He debuted playing college football in Alabama; after that, he was drafted into the Jets in 1965. He later launched his acting career with his show, ‘the Joe Namath Show.’
Namath met Deborah Mays in 1983, an aspiring actress who Joe claims ‘caught his last pass.’ The two got married a year later when he was 41 and Mays was 22. The former couple spent sixteen years married before they parted ways in 2000. They share two children, Jessica and Olivia.
