DIANA ROSS – $300K, JAGUAR E-TYPE XKE SERIES ROADSTER
Diana Ross, the future Queen of Motown, was given the keys to this Opalescent Golden Sand-colored British roadster in1967. Ross had just broken into the mainstream in 1967, and after purchasing her mother a house, her first gift to herself was this magnificent XKE.
The initial sticker price for this finely optioned drop-top, custom-ordered to her specifications, was $6,968.15! Diana specified a black cabin and canvas top, as well as a color-matched hardtop, window tint, and whitewall tires, in addition to the unusual shimmering paint. The car was recently given a comprehensive makeover to restore its factory finish.
