Christian Bale has a reputation for ditching substitutes plus fat suits and instead gets into character the hard way. He has the amazing ability to go from being able to play the part of a stick-thin insomniac in ‘The Mechanic’ to a chubby, round goon in ‘American Hustle,’ in no time.

For the star’s most recent work in ‘Ford v Ferrari,’ he had to lose a lot of weight, and “a lot” here means a massive 70 pounds! The main reason for this was because the cars in the film did not incredibly fit “large” men. Nonetheless, we have mad respect for his dedication.
