Celebrating Togetherness
The 1960s counterculture movement in America is significant for its wild nature. The American youth rejected the capitalist society and raised their voice against war. They promoted the idea of loving freely and not limiting it to the institution of marriage. One slogan that went viral during those days was, “Make love, not war.” In this photograph, young people are dancing freely at the Woodstock music festival that lasted for three days. This event is remembered by people for a lot of reasons. Braving bad weather and traffic, people traveled for miles just to attend this festival. They could not afford to lose the chance of attending this grand event.
