MICHAEL PARKINSON – 86 YEARS

Michael Parkinson is a British broadcast journalist and author who began radio before moving into television. He hosted the popular talk show Parkinson from 1971 to 1982 and from 1998 to 2007. Michael became a household name in Britain, hosting the popular show which invited renowned celebrities and shared candid conversations.

Parkinson also wrote books for children, like The Woofits, which later resulted in a television series. The Guardian also described him as “the great British talk show host.” In his personal life, he has been a doting husband to his wife, Mary Agnes Heneghan. The couple has been married since 1959 and has three children together.
